Job Overview:ย ATLAS, our advanced geospatial intelligence platform, integrates UAV data, external sensors and AI-driven analytics to deliver actionable insights. We are looking for a Video Processing Engineer to enhance our video streaming, processing and analysis capabilities, ensuring high-quality video feeds and advanced video-based intelligence features.
What will be your responsabilities:
- Develop, optimize and maintain real-time video streaming and processing capabilities for ATLAS
- Work with video compression, encoding and transcoding technologies (ex. H.264, H.265, VP9)
- Develop KLV decoding, injection, Encoding into video streams according to STANAG 4609
- Implement low-latency video streaming solutions for live mission monitoring and post-mission analysis, with STANAG 4609 metadata
- Integrate and optimize video feeds from multiple sources, including UAVs, sensors and external platforms
- Improve video storage, retrieval and playback functionalities, ensuring efficiency and scalability
- Enhance video-based analytics with AI-driven object detection, tracking and recognition
- Ensure robustness and reliability of video processing pipelines in challenging network conditions
- Work closely with AI, DevOps and front-end teams to integrate video functionalities into ATLAS
- Debug, troubleshoot and improve video transmission stability and performance
- Contribute to technical decisions regarding video codecs, streaming protocols and processing frameworks
Profile and Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in video processing, streaming or multimedia development
Strong knowledge of video encoding, transcoding and compression technologies (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1, etc...) - Experience with streaming protocols (RTSP, RTP, WebRTC, HLS, DASH, etc...)
- Hands-on experience with FFmpeg, GStreamer, OpenCV or similar video processing frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++ or JavaScript (Node.js) for video pipeline development
- Experience working with real-time video applications in constrained network environments
- Familiarity with cloud-based video processing
- Strong understanding of low-latency streaming and adaptive bitrate technologies
- Ability to optimize video storage and retrieval mechanisms for large-scale data
- Advanced proficiency in Portuguese and English, with proven fluency at the C2 level in both languages.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in video transmission and processing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AI-driven video analytics (ex. Object Detection, Tracking and Event Detection)
- Familiarity with hardware acceleration (GPU, FPGA or specialized video processing chips)
- Understanding of network protocols and optimizations for video delivery
