Job Overview:

Is your goal to successfully manage firmware development projects? Would you like to join a team with a passion for electronics and work on complex, high-density digital boards in the space and airborne sectors?

The SAR Product team is seeking an outstanding, self-motivated Firmware Engineer to contribute to the development of Active Antennas for airborne and space SAR instruments. You will join a multi- skilled team to manage technical projects.

What will be your responsibilities:

  • Technical Project Management: Oversee firmware development projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, costs, and quality standards.
  • Firmware Development: Design and develop firmware for space and airborne applications, focusing on Active Antennas for SAR instruments.
  • Digital Board Design: Work on complex, high-density digital boards for space and airborne environments.
  • Specification & Validation: Participate in defining requirements and validating firmware solutions.
  • Process Compliance: Apply standard aerospace processes (e.g., DO-254, DO-160G) to secure developments.
  • Innovation & Technical Advancement: Propose and implement technical innovations in the digital electronics field.
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with Antenna and Radar engineers, sharing expertise and fostering team growth.

    Profile and requirements:

    • Education & Experience
      • Degree: Master’s (5-year degree) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
      • Embedded Systems Expertise: Extensive experience in embedded systems, particularly in aerospace or space environments, with proficiency in standards such as DO-254 and DO-160G
      • Electronics Knowledge: Deep understanding of both analog and digital electronics
    • Technical Skills
      • Requirements & Design: Strong experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, and technical documentation
      • Programming & Development:
        • Expert-level proficiency in VHDL and C
        • Familiarity with digital board design
      • Protocols & Communication: Understanding of communication and networking protocols
      • Software Development & Testing:
        • Hands-on experience with software testing and debugging techniques
        • Experience across the full software development life cycle
      • Tools & Methodologies:
        • Proficiency with Git and version control systems
        • Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies
      • RF & Telecommunications: Experience with RF systems, including Radar or Telecommunication
    • Soft Skills & Language Requirements
      • Quick Learner & Adaptable: Ability to quickly learn and integrate new technologies
      • Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
      • Passion for Space & Innovation: Enthusiastic about space technology and advancements
      • Languages: Fluent (C2 level) in both French and English
      • Location Based : Toulouse
